I Found 5 Apps That Help Me With My Thrifty Living Goals
Here are some thrifty living tips offering insight to the best apps you can use for free. These apps can help save money, save time, and help you reach your health and wellness goals.
Thrifty living can be challenging, but with the right tools and resources, it’s completely doable. I know there are tons of free apps out there, but these top 5 are my favorites for staying well, saving money, and getting stuff done.
In no particular order, here are my favorite free apps:
To save money on restaurants, gas, or groceries:
This is a search engine that contains literally thousands of recipes you can access based on the ingredients you have in your kitchen. It’s is a great way to embrace thrifty living by saving on your grocery budget. Supercook allows you to build your online “pantry” as you deplete and stock your grocery items. You can filter by meal type, diet preference, and ingredient focus (like that spinach that’s going to spoil if you don’t do something with it). It can be downloaded as an app and accessed through their website. I find this is a great tool to reduce food waste.
While we are on the subject of saving money, check out this free app. Use this app to find deals on food, gas, and groceries. Select the one you are interested in and click “Claim”. Make your purchase using whatever debit/credit card you wish to use, and once you’ve completed your purchase, scan your receipt on to your app. The app will ask you if you want to use the card again, so you may not need to scan for every purchase. The cash back will be applied to your Upside account and you can cash out anytime. I’ve found some offers as high as 25% cash back! I say, if you’re going to spend the money anyway, why not get something back?
To help with your wellness goals:
If you are interested in intermittent or time restrictive fasting and you’re not sure how to begin, this app can help. The FastHabit app can be used for free without paying for the premium use. It allows you to set your goals and helps you stick with it. The app will connect to most devices, like apple watch, and gives you that individual training attention on a thrifty living budget. It gives you reminders, notifications, and tracks your progress. It’s main use is through an app, but the link I added here will take you to a page that offers more details.
To help host the perfect party:
If you’re planning a gathering or party, check out the Guest app. You just download the app and create your guest list. Your guests will receive an invite to join. Your guests will need to download the app to their iOS or Android. The app uploads any picture they take with their devices during your event time (that you preset). Your guests will have all the fun while the app gathers and shares the pictures with the rest of the party, instantly. You can document your next event solely through this app as a way to avoid the cost of a photographer taking candid shots for you. This is used as an app, however, the link attached here will give you more information.
Help for your next DIY remodeling project:
The Home Depot ProjectColor App
I used the Home Depot Project Color app when redoing our guest room, and it is awesome. You just take a picture of your space, search colors in the Project Color app and try out the color on the picture you save in your gallery. It let’s you save your choices, cause if you’re like me, I need a few weeks to decide. I can’t afford to make mistakes with design choices, so this app let’s me dress up our home within our thrifty living budget. The app also shares pics of popular colors and trending designs for inspiration.
That’s my list. These are 5 apps I use for free. I hope my thrifty living tips help you with your goals too!
